Default 91 Accord CEL #4 doesn't want to start

so the story is, i pulled the engine out to clean it and since three motor mount were shot so i could replace them also. got my mounts on the mail and i started to clean the engine tranny etc. also replaced spark plugs and wires, intake manifold gaskets, oil and stuff. i took the distributor off to clean it. replaced the cap. i didn't messed with the distributor internals or wiring... so i installed the engine back in. connect the harness and every line how they supposed to go. tried to start it and it doesn't want to start. i have fuel and spark. the exhaust sounds like back firing. i have CEL # 4____14___and 41.

i did had the 14 and 41 before cuz i dont have a O2 sensor and my IACV is disconnected. but the 4 is new what is the crank position sensor.

its a 91 Accord wagon auto F22A1.

but the number 4 cel only appears when i turn the key on and it doesn't shows it again jus 14 and 41. basically just shows it once . every time i turn the key on.

lmk what could it be

can someone show me the right firing order. this is what i have right now

The order looks correct.

Double check all of the grounds. Also set the engine to TDC-make sure the cam and crank line up. If so then pull the dist cap and be sure the dist rotor is pointing to #1..hard to do but I've seen dist installed 180 out.

If it sounds like it's backfiring the firing order is probably wrong. Either at the plug wires or as poorman stated the distributor rotor shaft is installed 180 degrees out of phase with the cam shaft. The slot in the distributor shaft is offset to match the offset slot in the cam shaft. Though the slot is offset, it is possible to muscle it in place 180 degrees out.

so i checked the distributor it was fine also correct the timing but my injectors are not firing at least #1 haven't checked the other three. what would cause the injectors the lack of signal? all my ground are fine.

Interesting. You said in your first post that you had fuel.

Recheck your grounds. Especially your primary ECM ground at the thermostat housing. Also remember paint doesn't conduct electricity, normally.

i already checked all the grounds especially the thermostat housing s one. and also cleaned all the ground with a little wire brush. ima go see if the other injectors have signal.

I believe that 1 should be where 4 is in that diagram.

A vtec engine would be 1 where the 2 is.
