1995 Honda Civic shock suggestion Help!
I am in need of buying new shocks because all of my shocks are blown. (stock shocks)
I have nuespeed race springs which are the color of red if that makes a differnece.
I am looking for some aftermarket shocks since a oem shock is about 80.00 each.
I need some advice, help on what is the best quality ride for a daily driver?
Skunk2
Koni
Tokico
Let me know any feedback would be great.
thanks

Koni sport.
Best ride quality, no clue.
Your springs have pretty high spring rates, so you will loose ride quality, regardless of what shock you have.
Either way, the koni is the best. Life time warranty(original buyer only), adjustable.

What is your price range and amount of drop? Koni Yellows will handle pretty much everything and are adjustable, cost is around $550 though. Tokico HP (blues) are a bit better than OEM but will not handle a drop more than 1.8 inch. Skunk 2 are ok, they can handle more drop then Tokico HP because the piston rod is shorter than OEM, but for a bit more Koni yellows are much better value.
I don't want to spend nomore than 350.00 for shocks. Since there about 80.00 each for oem at the store. my car's set up right now is:
nuespeed race springs lowered about 2.0 drop on stock shocks.
I am looking for daily driver smooth ride quality. And some perfomance gains to.

You need to save your money.
OEM shocks sound nice, but they don't really like being lowerd that much, and don't like high spring rates.
Mine lasted about 1-2 months with 350lb springs. They were perfect before the new coilovers.
I have heard good things about the skunk2 shocks, but they aren't crap compared to KONI....
We need to know, what shock of each brand. What koni were you looking at, and what tokico were you looking at??
If your look at tokico blues, just stop while your ahead.. They are junk on lowerd cars.
Look at THmotorsports.com or in the market place here. For about 100-150 more you could have a set of shocks that will blow everything on your list away, and last.

so Koni yellows are the best bet for a daily lowered car and then some. like would be good for autocross and maybe a track day to? I mean on a scale from 1-10 how comfortable do you think koni yellows are to daily drive? I am just tired of my getting sick of driving and hitting every single bump. Its not fun!

They really are the best for the money.
I can't speak to how comfy they will be. I have never ridden on that set up...
How does the car ride now? Bouncy?
For the money I can't think of a single shock that would be better.
They would be good for either.
It also gives you the chance to go with koni/gc. Which is a very good setup.

koni's are 20% off at the tire rack, 109ish a piece, awesome value. They are great for autox and roadrace and should make your car ride better than it did with oem on those springs you have that are pretty stiff. The shock isn't the only thing that affects your ride quality as your springs are pretty stiff, but with fresh konis it will be better than blown stock shocks. It is worth the extra money now than buying two set off oem stuff that WILL blow, not to mention if you plan keeping the car these will be the last shock you buy with their lifetime warranty.
