Default GSR Block with Type R Head: 60-1 Turbo - E85 Dyno Tune

This setup belongs to Zach. Sorry guys, no pics. We tuned this one last night.

Type R Head with GSR Cams
Stock GSR bottom end
Full-Race Ramhorn
Garrett Ball bearing 60-1 (t3/t4)
Tial 38mm Wastegate
Tial 38mm BOV
Back door intercooler
880 Precision Injectors
Aeromotive 340 Fuel Pump
Adjustable FPR
ARP head studs
68mm Throttle Body
Omni 4 bar
Tuned on Crome Gold with E85

The chart is at 10.8psi. For the record, it made 350whp between 7.9 & 8.1psi when tuning the wastegate during the earlier runs. 414whp is around 360-365whp on pump gas. Take 360whp and 15% efficiency of E85 (it also raises the static compression since it requires 30-35% more volume and burns cooler and slower - takes more timing) and you get 414 whp. Don't forget E85 has an octane rating of 105.

Are you using crome to control boost?

e85 made that possible... still seems like really high numbers for that boost level with gsr cams...

Is that it for engine mods? What about intake/exhaust setup? What headgasket?

The head as been machined before but no idea as to how much.

11psi was according to datalogs and not a gauge. It doesn't build 11psi till almost right at the very end (manual boost controller). It's pretty wild considering it took me 16psi on a slightly larger turbo to make the same power on my K20z1 (but on pump gas).

By the way guys, try not to get too stuck on the numbers. It's STD correction which is set to sea level. To get SAE numbers (elevation set to Spartanburg Airport), simply deduct 2%. That 2% is on our dyno and may not be the same on other dynos. That brings power to 406whp SAE, not that big of a difference but still worth noting. From a tuners perspective, what stands out to me is the quality of the chart. Here is the same chart with the smoothing turned all the way down to ZERO. There is no knock or spark blowout, just a smooth chart. To me, the quality of the chart often times speak louder than numbers.

every dyno ever posted by TDC is VERY high for the setup.

and the cars never come close to traping what they should with the suggested numbers.

either way, they have good rep for their e85 tunes.

id be curious to see what that car did on a different dyno... who knows maybe that dyno has a 15% correction that the customer cant see... just doesnt seem right...

a 15% correction would be more like 385 which would sound a little more realistic... regardless... you are right that the graph looks really good...
