Rear hatch defroster slow?

My 2000 gsr i just bought came with a RS hatch and for some reason the rear defroster takes 20 mins to get going...any help?

Check the connections, pay close attention to the chassis ground. 94

The two terminals off the defrost "grid" will be on the inside left and right side of rear glass, You will probably need to remove the trim, to see the terminals, not sure they are the same as on my 94 Teg. 94
