Icon3 Can't Get Into Trunk

Trying to get OEM tail lights and an OEM spoiler off a 93 sedan. Car is in a junk yard, so I've got no idea where the keys are. Doors are open, but I can't tell if the trunk is or not. All I know is that it won't open.

Any ideas?

Have you asked the wrecking yard staff if they have a key? Sometimes there is a key matched to the car.

I thought most Civics had a trunk pop on the driver's floor.

That's what I was thinking.

For some reason, this junk yards leave all the keys in the ignition, where it was obviously stolen, so a key is out of the question..

Tried the latch on the drivers floor, nothing happened. I left that part out cuz I think it was too obvious

I've met plenty of people who don't know that the handle on the floor opens the trunk. Even more who have no idea how to open the hood.

You might have luck busting in through the rear seats/rear deck, but it sounds like a pain in the ***, as does prying the trunk open (which I'm sure the yard would LOVE). Ask the staff how they suggest you access the trunk.

Also, your yard stores keys in the worse place possible. Ours stay in the office.

Well if the cable that pops the trunk is still there possibly you can just yank on it with a pair of vise grips. Just a thought.

How exactly would I do that? I don't think think these guys would care too much if I had to break something to get in. I tore the carpet back from behind the seats and around the speakers but its just sheet metal with a few 6" holes from where the speakers were. I wish the seats folded forward in sedans

I'll give it a shot tomorrow morning. I gotta go back up there (1hr drive) first thing since I left some tools under the hood, like an idiot.

Anyone have any other ideas? I might just bring a dremel up and start cutting :]]

edit; I'll ask them if they keep keys with the, it's worth a shot I guess. Most of the cars I've looked in have them in the ignition, so I just kind of assumed
