Just bought an 06' Laguna Blue S2000!! Have some questions..
Hey guys, long time Honda fan. I have been reading these forums for about 8 years but never really posted that much. Used to have a fully built Integra GSR, then bought a 2000 Civic hatchback that is still my daily driver, and as of today I am a proud owner of a 2006 Laguna Blue S2000.
I do have a few questions though. The headlights previously had eyelids on them and now there are small cracks where the eyelids used to be. I realize that new headlights are $800+ and I would like to avoid paying that. So I have two options, putting eyelids back on, or just dealing with the small cracks. Anyone have eyelids on their s2000 that they don't mind posting pictures of?
Also, there are some very small blemishes such as a very thin scratch and some small rock chips. What do you think my best option is to deal with these? Awhile back I got some stuff that you rubbed on the scratch and it would fill it in, I'm assuming by spreading a small amount of paint from the other areas of the car? However, that was a Civic and this is an s2000, so what is everyone's opinions on using this stuff and does anyone have any advice on a good brand to get?
I know that no thread is complete without a picture, so here you go (please excuse the crappy quality of this picture):

Are you sure they're cracks, not just left over adhesive?
Fixing paint chips is lame, You'll always get them. battescars FTW.
also this is my opinion

They are definitely cracks. If I had a guess I would say some water got trapped under the eyelids and the heat from the hid's caused the plastic of the headlights to crack?
And about the rock chips, I understand they are battle scars, but I just got the car and would really like to clean it up as much as possible. I guess it's just me being picky with my new purchase.

hey, I like mine to stay clean just as much as the other guy, I guess I'm just not super ****. I'd try http://www.drcolorchip.com/
Thanks man! Exactly what I'm looking for. Little rock chips on the front bumper typically wouldn't both me, but they are on the top of the bumper and the hood. Again, not a big deal, but being able to get rid of them would make me feel better.
Anyone have any experience with the kit posted above?

yea dude, no matter how many times you fill in rock chips, theyre going to be there and because the car sits so low to begin with youre going to get them on the hood and bumper...i just learned to live with it because its not feasible to paint a car every other year....but then again, you have a laguna blue pearl s2k, which is going to show chips more so than say silverstone
Believe me, I am already starting to notice that. I have a VSM Civic and rock chips do not bother me at all; they are hardly visible. I do understand that rock chips on a lowered car are inevitable (had two lowered cars before). However, I would like to get rid of the ones that are there now since I just bought the car, start with a clean slate.
I watched some videos on the Dr. Colorchip and it seems to work pretty well. For the $50, it might be worth it.

I just added home made eyelids on mine - sorry, no pics, but i think it looks awesome. Getting the colour match would be difficult though - mine is black.
The paint on these is a little thin (weight saving!), so expect more chips. I try to keep on top of mine too..

I should have been more specific, I watched a few homemade videos of the Dr. Colorchip. I like to think I'm not naive enough to believe the videos on their website, haha.

Ive seen one of the guys in the detail forum do some nice work on chips by using touch up paint, then wet sanding, and buffing and polishing until you can barely even tell it was there, if at all.
