Icon2 New clutch - pivot arm feels too soft?

The car is a 1991 CRX Si (manual transmission obviously). I conducted the normal operations for a new clutch installation including new Honda Genuine parts (clutch, pressure plate, throw out bearing plus accommodating spring, and a new clutch pilot bearing), reassembled, and torqued all bolts to spec. I was finishing installing the clutch cable when I reached for the pivot arm and realized it was very easy to pull. If I could contrast it to an action, the difficulty is that of twisting a door ****. It feels like the only tension is exerted by the throw out bearing spring and not the pressure plate itself. The pedal hits the floor and sticks if fully depressed; I have to return it to the out position by hand. Something is seriously not right. Any suggestions?

Or is it just the fact that I am an idiot who forgot how cable clutches work? The possibilities abound. I found this link, twisted the nut on the clutch cable a few more times and viola!...

We are all entitled to a few ridiculously ignorant moments - it is only human.

have you check your main fuse box and the underneath fuse box look for a 15a that says for your ecu,cuz somethings when that fuse blown than sometimes you will not get any sign you will get only a gerk trying to catch the fuel and sparks. have you check your igntions control modules cuz sometimes it could go bad and cause you to not have any fuel or spark on it. as for your fuel pump that is not priming have you check your grounds and power by turning on your key igntion to on as if your going to start your car and use a fuel testing wire any kind of wire as long as has a aligators mouth on both side so could connect to you power from your main relay wires and connect your ground wire to any of a metal part under your steering and the power wire should be blue and white on a 89 civic and try to manueling start by connect the aligator mouth to the power wire from your main relay wires and the other end to a fire wall which will be your ground then keep tapping those wires to see if you could hear your fuel pump sending if not than it could be a bad fuel pump, but if you areadly change your fuel pump and still not working than the problem might be your power or ground wire in the back of your gas tank might be rusty or too loose but maybe you will not find it because it is hind behind the gas tank cuz thats wat happen to mine 90 civic to so just double check it if its not that than it should be your igntion control modules witch will cost you roughly 200 buck or get a new dizz. so see if any of my advise help you thanksz s black
