obd2a ls or convert to obd1 and get a chipped ecu with an ls basemap.

1996-1998 obd2a p75 5 speed ecu. I would personally recommend using an obd2a to obd1 ecu jumper and chipped obd1 p75 engine computer for the b20.

i already have a jumper harness on it but kinda wanted the odbII back..this car had the swap in it when i got it and it ran like **** intermittently .. Found that moisture was somehow getting on the ecm and has probably killed it. It will start and run but surge real bad then i can reach over and smack the ecm and it will clear up and run decent.. So my thoughts were if i had to get a ecm for it maybe it would be better with the odbII ecm

Hate to bring this back from the dead but there's a few things I'd like to clear up...

Is it possible to run an OBD1 P75 ecu, no chip, with a B20Z2 with absolutely no problems and still have the 143 hp and 133 tq?

Will the OBD2a P75 ecu run the B20Z2 with absolutely no problems or will it be trying to find the crank sensor?

What happens with the knock sensor with both of those ecu's?

What is the ABSOLUTELY best ecu set up to use with the B20Z2?

An obd1 p75 stock ecu will run the engine without any major issues.
It may run a little lean in some spots.

Obd2a p75 ecu will look for obd2a sensors such as crank sensor.

Neither ecu looks for a knock sensor.
