Got a new windshield and the ****tard who sealed it got a small drop of tar on my dashboard. How to you get rid of this stuff?

 

 

I feel your pain, majority of these f#ckers are so carless. Had this stuff all over my paint, along with leaking from the seams of the windshield. Not to mention he was just tossing his equipment around on my car, leading to a dent near my sunroof.

Yeah I told them numerous times to be VERY careful. Heck I was even watching from the shop window.
some splattered on my paint as well and I`ve noticed on a lot of hondas the actual rubber trim doesn`t get put back around the windshield the proper way

 

any ideas? I emailed detailed image for some tips and they have no idea how to remove it besides masking the surrounding area and lightly sanding but it would be difficult do to the material of the dashboard.

lacquer thinner may work.

otherwise, call the company that did it and demand they fix it properly...


had a windshield put in my car this week too... car was painted 10 days ago, and i warned the guy. so, what does he do? he scratches the hood putting the glass in, and leaves the molding loose.

called and complained. they came out again (different guy) and fixed the molding. and they are paying to get the entire hood repainted...

I will try lacquer thinner as sanding didnt work. this was the second dashboard I have put on my car now. Look like I am gonna have to source out another one
