strut and shock assembly?
I wanna lower my 94 honda accord and i found the struts and adjustable springs and im wondering if i can use the same strut mounts from the old struts?? and any tips would be appreciated !! thanks!
just lowered by 94 accord using these two guides. It was pretty simple. took me about 4 hours but if I had to do it again it would be under 2. only tricky part I had was finding the right angle to slide the rear strut out from the fender. Yes you reuse the same top hats but you will need a spring compressor to take them off your stock struts and install them on the aftermarket ones. here are the two sources I used. let me know if you have any problems. good luck!

Im on tein full coilovers which i found used for a good price. It depend how much you want to lower your car. tokico blues seem to be the most common strut for any drop up to 2 inches ($300 for a set). For a bigger drop and if you want damper adjustment struts then most people would recommend either tokico illumina (about $400) but Koni Yellow seems to be by far the favorite (over $500). for adjustable ride height springs the only ones I've heard of that are highly recommended are ground control coilover sleeves which can be ordered in custom springs rates. If you dont want ride height adjustment tein s-tech and eibach pro kits are common springs for a 1.5-2 inch drop. If price is an issues keep checking the sell forums and find a used set. I got used Tokico blues for sell for $150 if your in the LA area.

i had my 98 4dr on kyb gr-2 struts and tein s-tech springs, lowering it 2" all around. everything mounted to stock, no problems, and ended up with a smooth, firmer ride with the looks to match. that was with 18" wheels and 225/45's.... i always wanted it a bit lower though. but dont go 4", most coilovers wont even drop that low.
