FS/FT: 84 mm sleeved B16A shortblock, Wiseco, 9:1
EDIT: 85 mm block, not 84.
Well, plans have changed so I am going to just do a stock ITR or GSR swap in my car. Will sell outright or may trade for the right parts.
Short block is all new, never run since sleeves, pistons, and rods were installed.
Not sure on sleeves, block was already done when I got it. They are open deck sleeves and the machine work looks to be pretty well done. 85 mm bore and final honed to match pistons.
Probe 9:1 pistons
Billet I beam rods. Pretty sure they are the Probe Ultralight I beams.
MIcropolished stock crank
New VTEC oil pump
Asking 2000 for short block. Will also include a Moroso oil pan if I get asking price. Willing to trade for: EK full coilovers, FBP OEM EM1 front lip, FBP OEM EM1 grille, OEM fog lights for 99-00 Civic, Black OEM rear bumper for 99-00 Civic 4 door/coupe, ITR engine, GSR swap, LS swap (all must be OBD2), nice 15" or 16" wheels (SSR C's, etc). Cash on either end depending on trade.

Sure would like to know the parts in it for that price..... and who sleeved it. Thats almost what would be paid for an assembled block from GE quoted to me
2000 is there for trade value. People that really have cash and are ready to buy can get it for cheaper obviously. 2000 was put up to try to eliminate the tire kickers and flakers.
Anyone that may have any input on how to determine the sleeves in the block, speak up. I have no problems providing any pictures of anything on the short block. In fact, I'll go pull the pan and snap a few pics of the rods so people can see inside.

Obviously, ARP main bolts and rods have ARP rod bolts. Brand new OEM Honda oil pump, too. After running the number on the piston, I'm coming up with them being 85 mm Probe SRS pistons, not Wiseco's. They look pretty nice from the underside as they do from the top. After looking at Probe's site, the rods look strikingly similar to the Probe 4340 Ultralight I beam connecting rods. Any other pics you may want to see, let me know. May also consider selling the pistons or trading them for a set of new all motor compression pistons. I would not mind running this short block in my car if it had compression so I could go all motor.
The displacement on the engine should be between 1747-1756 CC's. Stock GSR is 1797, stock B16 is 1587 for reference.

Pic of sleeve bottom and bottoms of pistons:

Part number on piston, just did a quick search and they appear to be Probe pistons. Also, they are 85 mm, not 84 like I had thought they were. Link to the pistons: http://www.probeindustries.com/Produ...5&Show=ExtInfo

Sleeves may be Dartons unless someone else knows who (besides Benson) has sleeves like these. Benson marks all of their blocks (according to their site) so I am ruling Benson out due to this.

Any other pics, let me know.
