Default Exhaust: To test pipe or high flow cat?

I live in NY and we do have emission testing, but they are pretty lax about it, and if all else fails I do have a connection to pickup an inspection sticker for. But my question is -

Should I pickup a straight "test pipe" - or pickup like an OBX high flow cat? Wont the highflow still keep me "legal" ? And what do you think of prices as far as $40 for the test pipe and $70 for the high flow - both include shipping... decent?

Do emisssions w/ the stock cat, then when u get home throw the testpipe on.
I'm running a chipped ECU and i was 8times the legal limit in HC and CO. So i went home, put the stock ECU in, went back, and passed w/ flying colors. Then came home, and put the chipped ECU back in. They dont know what u do once u leave. Hell my sheet says i have a SOHC-LMAO.

LOL! Figures right - well thats what I planned on doing after I got a price on getting a cat from Midas... $250 installed Crap I can get a test pipe, AND a high flow cat and still have $150 left over, LOL! So will I pass with a high flow? I mean, if you wont pass emissions whats the purpose of making it a cat when it can be a test pipe? I can get a stock cat for another $10 - but would rather have the high flow if I can still pass yah know?

just call summit, and depending on what header (size of the collector?) and get a Catco universal high flow cat. i have the DC JDM 4-1 mated to a 2.5" catco and it works great. you'll need to get a flange welded so the cat will bolt to the header.

just stay legal and get the cat. i know people without it who ROAD RACE and cannot tell any difference at all, but have to make a special journey out in the backwoods to get their inspection sticker. Catco crapcat!!!!!
