so i took over my moms... 1997 accord ex auto with 136k miles and when i was driving back from work smoked a cig, tried to close the window and it wont work only would go down and thats it. so i took everything off and the controller looked like it got burned so i went to junk yard got another controller and it wouldn't work. and front passenger side window would go down but not up... i have to use it own controller to get it to close all other windows work perfectly fine but than i notice that my sun roof wont work too.... so would that mean that i have some critical electric problem or ....? plz Help it sucks to drive on high way and ur window is not shut all the way... =(

I had this problem for months on all 4 windows XD, I started using the sunroof

But really. It could be window regulators starting to go bad *not enough umph to push it up*, i had to replace the 2 backs ones when i got this car as they went down and never went back up, They work now but My front ones still don't, just not had time / bothered, Since using sunroof. I can see the sky and clouds :D

 

well i just bought a whole door with good motor and regulator so when ill have time will install motor and regulator and see whats up with it

 

Just a suggestion,have you tried lubricating the window channels? I use 303 protectant it does a great job of freeing up windows that are stuck. The window channels could dried out and dirty.

 

never heard of that but for some reason my passenger front window started working today..... but ill install motor and new control panel for the windows if that not going to work than ill try 303 protectant
