has replacement axels, reman torque converter. The car shudders on mild accelleration. Its not an engine miss. It seems worst in 1rts second and 4rth gear. In 4rth at aprox 40 mph and 1500 rpm cruising along. The front tires feel way out of balance. This is not the problem however. just feels like it.The car accellerates normal with no vibration. all mounts are good. rotors are true. wheel bearings are good . tie rod ends etc. alignment is good. When I had the trans out to replace torque converter, I noticed I was able to spin the spider gear pin. I thought it had a dowl pin to hold it in place I cant locate a view of the inner parts The problem may not even be noticable to some drivers. Its got me baffled. The best I can describe it is that it feels like the trans is trying to switch back and forth to witch ever axel it wants to apply torque Fluid is fresh and is Honda z1. Another clue perhaps. My speedometer is not correct it will read 30mph when I am at 45. I think that is a gauge resistance problem. The speed sensor ( electrical portion was replaced before this started ) But I did not have the problem until thousands of miles later.

Verify that the sensor is good, along with the other shaft sensors. The ECU depends on these sensors for correct operation. If the ECU thinks the car is traveling at a different speed/load you may encounter erratic behavior.

Ok I'm confused. It's not an engine miss or a suspension issue?

Check what Mike suggested, then I have to ask-have you checked the egr ports? 1500 rpm, miss in engine????

Worked on many 90 to 93 accords with plugged egr ports. at first manifolds were replaced and then the drilling and using a small slide hammer. replace the inserts..Im going to check that all sensors are doing the correct communication with PCM . grounds too.
