Icon2 1998 Honda Accord EX

My old Honda was totaled when someone hit me. So i am on the search for a new one,. I Found a 1998 Honda Accord EX

175k. miles.. New tires (less than 5k), new brakes, new rotors, timing belt, ball joint, wipers and transmission has less than 50k.

Ground effects could use some work. It needs front and back windshield, radiator and front drivers side lights plus a ignition switch.

The radiator, lights, ignition switch, and windshields are an easy fix. After my friend that owns a auto repair shop quoted me. All the work + windshields will cost me $600.00.. Not bad.. My thing is,. It has 175,000 miles on it... Anyone else have one of these cars? I am worried the engine will go out on it soon and than i will have to replace that too, and those are a bit pricey.

Honda go as well as they are looked after, A friend uses an 2002 accord as a taxi, regularly serviced, and it's over 250k and starts first time, Smells new, but hell you can buy a spray for that XD

TBH the lights are the most work i would say in that lot imo Pain in the **** removing the bumper ect just for some bloody lights ¬.¬

Good vintage car as long as it's not a V6. Avoid the V6 like the plague. The transmissions are junk.

176k on a honda isnt much at all, if maintained properly you could get another 200,000 miles out of it easy. my uncle had an old honda one time i forget the model and year but he got the little bastard up to about 400k before it finally quit working
