02 Accord Auto Trans Valve Body - help removing alum end caps??
I am rebuilding my BAXA auto trans in my 02 Accord. I have the trans out and apart. I am cleaning parts right now. I am trying to take the main valve body apart to clean all of the valves and make sure the valves move freely. There are about 5 of the alum endcaps that hold the valves in that I can't get out. I have removed the clips that hold the caps in but the caps come out just a little and stop. I have tried pushing the valve out to help push the endcap out but no luck. Anyone have any secrets or tips on getting the alum. end caps out of the main valve body?
use a tap to create threads on the cap holes using a tap and then use a bolt to screw into the newly created threads and then slowly work the cap out. That is what I had to do for the acura transmission I worked on. Hopefully that helps....even though this thread is almost 4 year old.
