anyone have a source for perforated tubing, the kind you find in mufflers? i've been making mufflers for a couple years now with perf tube big enough for 2.5" tube to slide inside it and my source (a local exhaust shop) has finally run out of material - because i basically used up everything they had.

 

You could talk to 9bells, but I believe he buys his in sheets and forms his own perforated tubing.

 

Do you have a source for high temp sound absorption material?

EDIT: I wonder if Vibrant would sell some? Theirs is nice and open (high void ratio or hole ratio?). Magnaflow's is nice, but seems a little less highly perforated.

 

i've found a source for the tubing locally, i just have to run over there and see if their stuff is close to what i'm using now.

as for packing, i just use normal glass pack i get from the same exhaust shop i was getting the perf from.
