Brake light off help
I took off the clock dash with the air vents on my 98 crv to repair the clock. I took it completely off by removing the hazard light connector and clock connector. I did drive the car wihout that on but the indicator lights and brake lights were not working. After I repaired the clock I put back the hazard light connection and clock connection. The indicators and hazard light are working but the brake lights are not working. Help.
I just checked the horn its working. I am going to check the fuse in the morning and the brake switch. I have a digital meter, how much voltage should be in the wires if I check. All three brake lights went off when I removed the hazard light and they willl not turn on after I reconnected it. Night lights working, they lit the tail lights during night, headlights ok.
theres a switch (brake pedal)(the pedal arm is hitting it) when you step on the brake, it will trigger the lights...
its like an on/off switch...it might be stuck...u might want to check it out...

SOLVED: Can you believe it all three brake bulbs were fuse. Replaced it and it works. The funny thing was we didnt notice it and until we took the hazard light cover lol.
