Default B18C5 ITB's + Super Charger Combination

Hi Guys,

I own a 1998 B18C5 fully built motor installed in a Civic EG8 specs listed below.

Want to know if its possible and if anyone has done a ITB + Supercharger install in their cars. Dont want to go the turbo route and am interested in something radical.

1> Wiseco Forged High Compression Pistons Set (+40 size 12.5:1 compression ratio)
2> Eagle Light Weight Knife Edge Crankshaft
3> Eagle H-Beam Rods
4> ACL Race Bearings (full set)
5> Supertech Block Guard
6> ARP Main Studs
7> Cometic Head Gasket
8> ARP Head Bolts
9> Skunk 2 dual Valve Springs & Retainers
10> Supertech Bronze Valve Guides
11> Supertech Valve Seals
12> Skunk2 Tuner Series Stage 2 Cams
13> Fidanza Adjustable Cam Pulleys
14> Competition Clutch Stage 2 Clutch Set
15> Competition Clutch Ultra Light Weight Flywheel
16> Toda Racing High Power Timing Belt
17> MSD SS Blaster Coil, Dist Cap & Rotor + MSD 8.5 mm Plug Wires
18> MFactory Helical LSD
19> D2 Racing Coilovers
20> Energy PU Bushes
21> OBX 48MM ITB's
22> Wilwood 4 Piston Big Brake Kit Front
23> D2 Racing Rear Disc Brake Upgrade kit
24> RC 440CC Injectors
25> Stand Alone ECU
26> Aeromotive Fuel pressure Regulator.
27> Misc Autometer Guages
28> D2 Racing Rear Toe Adjuster
29> D2 Racing Rear Camber Adjuster
30> D2 Racing Front Camber Kit

Lemme know what you guys think about the idea. Plan to implement the same in 2-3 months if feasable.

Maybe I'm missing something but I just don't see how you could use the 2 together?

I also think if you figured it out somehow that it would be a bitch to tune. Just go with one or the other.

Edit:
After thinking I see how you could use them together but it would have to be a totally custom job and it would be extremely difficult, if not impossible to fit them with the way the engines sit in our bay. Plus the benefit just wouldn't be worth it at all, the only reason to do it would be for the brag factor IMO.

anything is possible given enough money.
however you will not be running that setup with a supercharger and 12.5:1 compression on pump gas...but if you have a gas station with E-85 available then you could build an extremely responsive setup.
lookup tonythetiger.....boosted itb.

unless you go with a system like the vortech or procharger you're pretty much stuck... the jackson racing wont work with your existing setup (but they're **** anyways)

Tony's setup used the Jenvey ITB setup with a central plenum that he created at over 11.5:1 on a smaller GT2871R setup (though this was several years ago).

You would need to do some Serious intercooling or aftercooling (LHT intercooler setup comes to mind) when attempting this. I would slightly lower your static compression to about 11.5:1, however, as Intake air temps and detonation for a setup like this will more than likely rear its ugly head without a lot of attention to the tune, regardless of the fuel used.

Quality ITB's can be installed downstream of a supercharger. They would provide excellent
throttle response, especially when operating the engine in an "ON" and "OFF" the throttle condition(s). A road race car running on a track with multiple turns might be a good example. ITB's can make the engine very responsive as the throttle is located closer to the intake valves which reduces the runner volume below the throttle plate. The plenum above the throttles will act as a reservoir and can hold boost pressure for immediate introduction into the engine when the throttles are snapped open.
Note: throttle plate synchronization is very important to assure that each cylinder receives the same volume of air.

They can but on a JRSC kit it's just dumb. The fabrication required Is complicated and cost prohibitive.

With the vortech an Paxton kits it's just like a turbo kit, since both kits retain the stock intake manifold and it's as simple as fabbing a new charge pipe

why not do a nice set of ITB's and then match it with a rotrex supercharger instead of a roots style system.?
