Icon2 CV Axle stuck need suggestions

I have removed axles before on Honda's, but this one is weird. I can't get it out of the half shaft. I have tried the basics (hammer and pry bar).

This is a 97 CR-V. I am currently trying to replace the driver front axle. I have it out of the hub. I just need to get it out of the half shaft.

I've had this issue before, the only way I got it was with 2 flat crowbars on either side of the axle between it and the half shaft, lay directly below it and just pry the living hell out of it. It was ignorant. Last resort, remove the 3 bolts for the half shaft, remove it from the tranny, clamp it on the vice and get a bigger hammer

get a heavier hammer and smack it. you can also put a punch on the back side of the bell at an angle and hammer it. they can be pretty stuck.

this. sometimes a little pb blaster helps.

when all else fails, remove it the axle/halfshaft assembly from the car and put the half shaft in a vice to get a better angle on the axle.

beating at it with a light hammer doesn't do **** but ding it up, a good heavy hammer and a slow but deliberate hit should deliver the momentum to make it come out.
