Do I have to remove the intake manifold first than the cylinder head, according to alldata I need to do this but I am having a tough time getting to the lower intake manifold nuts and dont see why I cant remove the whole intake/throttle body and cylinder head assymbly all together!!

is this possible? tx

 

you do not have to remove the intake or exhaust manifolds. take off onlly what is neccessary you will neeed to remove the bracketry in the rear of the intake underneath it but not much more attached to the head. word from the wise be careful with the connector to the knock sensor. tend to pull the sensor apart and will be unrrepairable

 

yess that makes life a lot easier, I will look out for the knock sensor too.

also does the crankshaft pulley bolt come loose counter clockwise or clockwise? I know it might be a silly question but just want to make sure.
