Default needing some input on some rust repair.

i picked up a 1990 teg a few weeks ago and its in pretty rough condition. which is fine by me because i only got it so id have something cheap to drive while im doing my k swap on my other car. but around the windsheild its got some pretty serious rust, and i was wondering if anyone had any pointers to fixing this rust? the water is coming in along the top of the car running along the headliner and dripping down the passenger side A pillar.

heres some pics of what im working with.

and so you get an idea of just how rusty this thing is.

so does anyone have any ideas?

you're gonna have to take the windshield to really see how bad it is, but that car has a serious cancer case. As for the rear, you'll need to cut and replace those panels

Yeah, definitely pull the windshield. Once you do will have total access to whatever hole/holes you have in there. Improperly installed windshields breed rust like crazy!

oh god if it was my project id be better off just buying a different teg lol. nah i just need something reliable while i do my k swap. i know i should pull the windsheild but i dont have the time or money to deal with that. so im just gonna try and knock off what surface rust i can and put a **** load of sealer inside the car. ive already put too much money into this car as it is so if that doesnt work ill just travel with a Tupperware bowl and when it rains ill set it on the floor lol.
