What AR to go with on a S372??
Anybody with some insight on this would be greatly appriciated.
OK so I have a B18C GE sleeve 9:1 compression 83mm LS crank. Built head & port n polished so on and so on....
My question is what AR will I get the most out of on my S372? Power goal is 750+ hp. I just got my S372 .90 ar. I was thinking that the .90 ar is a bit small...wont it start to choke out at higher psi?? I have access to a 1.00 ar exhaust housing but will that help out very much? I see most people use 1.10 1.25 1.44. Can anybody tell me what the pros and cons may be here for these options and if the .90 or 1.00 ar will be a good match for my goals. Thanks

You won't find a 1.44 for the BW. The 1.10 or even the 1.25 is what you would want to go with most likely. It all depends on your backpressure though.
My opinion is that the .90 is going to choke up top.

So is a 1.25 what most people are shaving luck with? I figured most people were running a 1.10? Also whos running standars compressor covers and whos running the race cover with these? Is there a noticeable difference?

Its been 3-4 years so I'm not 100%, I believe it was roughly 44 psi. My set up was pretty basic. I had a 1.10 Ar prior to the .90 and the .90 spooled roughly 300-400 RPM sooner but overall top end was the same. I never ran a 1.25 on the dyno so I couldnt tell you if it was choked up compared to the .90 but I'm pretty sure it was.
Honestly...run what you have and get out there and race. Make changes after you make some passes. Your goal is 750+ and the S372 will easily make that with the smallest AR housing. Use what works best for your combo.
Just a FYI...I was once running a Innovative Turbo 72mm with a .58 AR and still made ~840whp but at 48-50 psi. I ran with what I had, it was way more power than I could deal with during the time.
