Do you have any other mods? At least an intake and exhaust?
IF not, save your money..
Between the two, I think DC is better though

megan racing isnt great, probably better than a generic one, but DC is pretty damn nice and the ceramic coating is good to have too
however, i really looked at the stock manifold, dude its actually pretty damn nice, it just merges sooner into one
i got a cheapo T304 stainless ebay header
straight up made in china
the primaries don't line up perfectly with the flange either
the flange port holes on it are actually smaller than the ports on the head!
the primaries are larger than they need to be according to eyeballing the head port and ****, the mids are nice, and the rest of the way back is the same as stock, or smaller(could be illusion)
the oem manifold ports are perfect match to the head ports
it does feel like it makes more power, its got a little better response and i think i might be getting better mileage, i've also got the diy cold air intake and magnaflow cat
i very highly recomend taking the time to make the DIY cold air intake
you can search, but basically
pull off front bumper (its in the faq)
pull off "snorkel" takes 3 seconds
remove resonator (2 bolts, you need a flexheaded 12mm gearwrench or socket with extensions
take an autozone coupler(or the stock rubber one) and some worm-screw hose clamps and connect the snorkel to the air box
replace filter with a wix filter from orielly
supposedly its better than aem short ram or cold air

$129 for the JVT header? That is rather cheap and squarely into the category of cheapo ebay headers... What makes this better than those?
i owned one...has bigger primaries and a bigger collector than the DC...its considered a better header than the dc and the reason why your paying more for the megan is for the name....reason why the JVT is cheaper is because they arnt carb legal....theres a side by side comparison between the dc and the JVT somewhere showing the differences but idk where it is at the moment

I would never use Megan Racing parts .. DC Sports is a very reputable brand and will probably be very well tuned for a vehicle that has light modifications (not full race).
If you're not worried about smog, go with JVT. I honestly don't know for a fact if you should do a catback first or not. That was the popular answer I heard back in the day, but I don't understand how that works. If you have a good header, you should be able to lower backpressure a little and increase the scavenging effect of exhaust which would give you a better exhaust velocity in the end...then again accord exhausts are dinky in diameter so maybe that's why we benefit from a catback more. Someone wanna elaborate if they know the real answer to this?
Ya, a header will give you some added power but to get the full benefit of it the rest of the exhaust system should be upgraded to a larger diameter higher flowing cat back exhaust. Its the whole weakest link thing restricting your air flow and power. even if you have high flow rate from the engine through the headers that small pipe of the exhaust will restrict its flow not giving you the full potential of the header. if you upgrade both they compliment each other and allow for less back pressure and more power.
oh ya, and by the way, i just picked up a megan header for dirt cheap in a trade and the build quality looks pretty solid. no welding defects or anything. but havent put it in yet so i cant say how it preforms.
