Default what size tire

hey guys, i have a 97 ek coupe on sportline springs... just gotta set of 17x7 wheels. what size tire is best? is it likely to rub?

May or may not rub depending on wheel offset. Sportlines lower the car pretty significantly. You can get a 205/40/17. IIRC, that makes the diameter of the wheel the same as a 195/55/15 or so.

i had 205/45/17's on my 00' si'... didnt rub unless i was at full lock and either acc/dec so you should go with either those or above posters sugg. although 40 series will degrade ride further... do you have upgraded shocks??? if not get some or your gonna hate the ride quality

great answer. 205/40/17 is also almost exactly the same size as the oem 14" wheels w/ 185/65/14 tires.

my 205/40/17s rub when turned all the way and I keep tearing my plastic up when I hit bumps, dont take a big one either. Mine is only lowerd by 1in. I forget what offset it is but seems to be centered just right in there.
