I picked up a set of Gsr Fat five rims in trade for a 10" sub and amp. They are in rough shape, but I am a visionary and can see the beauty underneath. My problem is that the previous owners have painted them orange and then black on top of that. The guy before me decided to try and clean them up, but attacked them with a grinder.....
after 5 long hrs, I have gotten one done and after using aircraft stripper, dry sanding and wet sanding, followed by Mothers wheel polish it looks great. But the other 3 wheels have deep swirls from the grinder and I'm not sure what the best plan of attack is for me to clean them up.
Anybody have experience please help me out, I am not afraid of some work or using elbow grease.
