Default Fixing '09 si Seat

Okay, so I found these seats on craigslist for $100.

I had heard of people fitting them into 6th generation civics, so I decided to buy them.

Long story short: Had a good friend who works at a metal shop "remake" the brackets to match my oem seat brackets and reinforce them. They now bolt into the car.

Only problem is, they were in a wreck and the passenger seat airbags had deployed. I'm just curious to see what I could do about fixing this gap. It's the only picture I have right now, so I'll try to get some more if necessary.

Thanks.

I just replaced my fiancee's passenger for a similar thing - but in her Accord. From what I know about our family's Civic, the back plastic panel is replaceable, if you want the airbag system to work (and currently have a side airbag) you really have to replace the airbag and the entire plastic panel.

At a minimum:

#2 and #6

I don't have the capability to have a functioning side airbag. Just looking to fix the seat cosmetically. So is there a specific part that will just replace the current paneling? Or is my current paneling broken from the accident and needs to be replaced?

Don't click that. He's posted just that link in a ton of threads. Probably a keylogger.

Just take a look at the diagram I posted, if you don't care about a side airbag, then you could get #6 and the associated clips, you will probably have to unbolt the deployed airbag to make sure everything fits correctly. I have a feeling the current paneling is broken, but based on the picture you give it's near impossible to tell.

I can't say for sure, but if there is no way to get the current panel to reattach to the seat its likely broken from the accident.

I've actually managed to clip in the left side (from the back of the seat).

From what I can tell the paneling and clips aren't broken.

I'll get better pictures when I get home from work in about an hour. I took that picture not intending to use it for this thread. I know it's not an exemplary photo.

Updated with new pictures.

As far as I can tell the clips are fine. Can't be too sure though. I can clip the driver's side of the back panel in, but the side where the airbag goes just seems to be empty space.

At this point I'm pondering if I should just get some generic foam as a filler and adhere the plastic panel closed on both sides. Maybe use some strudy screws to hold the paneling into the metal frame underneath.

I'm not sure velcro or glue would hold strong.
