I have a 08 Si Sedan 29K miles.
Looking to upgrade my brakes.
Don't really want to spend over $300 on parts if possible.
Any setup ideas?

is this just for daily driving? auto-x?

with only $30k miles you can probably just have the oe rotors resurfaced. combine that with some hawk hps pads and you should have some nice stopping power well within your budget. www.tirerack.com has good prices on pads

plan to spend more than $300 if you are going to do brand new rotors. brembo blanks or oem are your best bet and they are $60-$80 each. your local parts store probably has some cheaper rotors but i would not consider what they sell an "upgrade"

 

i have the HFP brake upgrade for the Mrs 08 SI sitting on the shelf. Still waiting till i need to replace the fronts to do the upgrade. They say they're suppose to perform better considering they're better pads with slotted rotors
