Alright so I bought a type r LSD from an some guy and I took it to a shop to swap it into my b16 tranny. When they swapped it and I went to pick it up, they told me it was an ebay LSD and not a type r (I personally think they ****ed me over, and kept my type r lsd and put in their ebay one). And now my b16 VSS isnt going in, and they told me I have to use a jdm 91 crx b16 speed sensor that is digital, but ive never heard of such a speed sensor. They said they used to have the same lsd and thats what they used (their confession, they had the same lsd and kept mine and put theirs in mine). This lsd looks different too, because when I look at it through the axel holes, The hole is hollow but in the middle the hole like stops and it immediately becomes half the size for about 2-3 inches and then opens back up on the other side. Ill try to post up pics. Does any one know what lsd I have and what speed sensor I have to use? Thanks

U better tell them to give u back the right lsd or report them to the bbb for shaddy work and theft.

Could call the police if you really feel that they took your stuff. Police can't do much, but at least shake them up a little bit....

 

Can any body actually help me with my vss issue?

 

I would assume you dont need to change your speed sensor at all i didnt and i have no problems when i swapped my itr lsd and used my b16 vss.

how are u able to tell when a type r lsd from another? Is it stamped anywhere? Like on the actual differential? U know like would it say s80? Or p73?pr3? Anything?

 

Here is my itr with stock lsd. The one you bought looks the exact same bro they threw in some cheap *** **** on you i would take that **** to court

 

should be no taper its the same size all the way through

 

i have a type r lsd and an oem b16 lsd that came in a parts tranny i just bought. the one that is straight through is type r like posted above. the tapered one is an oem b16. the tranny i baught also came with a 4.4 final drive
