with the conventional STB's you can adjust the width of them. with the nuespeed the mounting points are fixed and even if you preloaded it they fasteners would just dig into the bar over time and unload.

Remember one thing. A lot if times all you're doing is paying for the name rather than the quality. In my opinion, spending over $100 on any of the strut bars for your car is ridiculous, unless your going for a show car. A $35 strut bar will do the same job, maybe even better, than any expensive bar out there.
paid less than $100 for generic brand front upper strut bar, rear upper strut bar, and used DC low tie bar.
if i remember correctly, i have paid $90 total.
yeah, like what others were saying, i won't pay more than $40 for the strut bars...

He prolly got it used. I myself am looking for a used Neuspeed front strut bar, along with the front AND rear LOWER bars.
I thought the concensus was that the rear lower bar was unnecassary?
Its called rice appeal. "Da m0' chit I gotZ oN maH ride y0, Da c00LeR I aM dAwG!" Sorry Sabastian, but that lower tie bar you got is a paper weight.
i guess a roll cage would be a big no-no for you too huh?

I didnt say that. Those lower tie bars connect two points which are relatively close to each other and are connected to an already rigid area of the subframe. Also, they are low on the chasis where there isnt as much force put on them as there would be on higher points such as strut towars. Any gain from it would be neglegable.
Out of all the people Misa, I would've thought you'd back me up on that. Guess not.

I am going to be the one that disagress with every one on this. DC bars are crap and worrthless all of them. IF its for support why does it have holes in it? That adds no intergrity to the bar at all only allows flex thus making it completly pointless. The adjustable bars may help a little but any thing that can pivot still will allow flex thus yet again making it a moot point or strictly a "looks" piece. These are just my thoughts but I have talked with some fellow auto crossers and most all agree if they did not teach me this. These are guys that run nationals and win not just some joe nobody as well.
Just my .02
You pay for what you get was said in another thread, this i agree with...

I thought the consensus on here was mostly that you pay for a name? Ebay has front and rear tower bars for 40 bux...or the 'Bomz' one's for 60...I'm seriously debating it...any ideas?
