Just purchased 00 Civic Hatchback CX for 4900 good or bad buy??
ok guys i just bought a 2000 Honda Civic CX with 166k clean title for 4900 but the car is completely stock and i mean 100%. i want other honda fanatics opinions!! in my mind i think this is the cleanest hatch ive ever seen period. but thats me

damn, it's very clean!
at least you got your money's worth out of the detailing.
that engine compartment looks like it got steam-cleaned, how many miles are on it?
however, for 4900 i would have sprung for something with vtec!
should have a d16 with about 106 hp... i'd throw a cold air intake and reap the benefits of decent gas mileage, and a small boost in hp!
otherwise, good, clean car.
*almost* no such thing as a bad buy with a honda!

It is a little expensive, but that price is worth it to me. No doubt.
Take car of it and you'll have it for a long, long time.

Could be a GSR for that $$. Awsome clean civic though it's only 99% stock(head unit).I would literally kill for a rear suspension that "headache free" to wrench on. Great job on the find!

The only things wrong with it that I can see are the window trim and what looks to
be a broken ex. manifold heat shield bolt.
That thing is in stunning condition op

Seriously, that could have just rolled off the showroom floor lol. Nice pickup, you have a GREAT canvas to start with, and don't need to waste money fixing other people's mistakes.
Pretty darned mint, I don't see the usual waves on the sides and such lol. But for $4,900, that's a bit steep, but not too bad. Nice pick up.
The price is nothing considering how much he would have to spend on other peoples mistakes and not having any problems with it.

the car is super clean im jealous i wish my Ek was this clean 4900 is a little steep though but if its worth it to you then nice buy!
Though it's a little pricey (that really depends on where you're located as well), I think it was worth the money. You're going to have to replace fewer parts and cleaning is almost something that doesn't appear to need to be done.
Looks like you're got a dark spot on the headliner, on top of those few other tiny things others have pointed out. That's the one additional "flaw" I see, and that's so common and headliner are difficult to clean anyway (water soluble glue!).
Overall I think it was a ok deal.
$3. Keep it.
Those are the replacement OE floormats. The Classy Gray mats are no longer being sold! I got lucky and picked a set up when I figured out they were being discontinued.

Those look so much better than the "classy gray" floor mats, but do these replacements have the traditional backing or the newer backing thats made of foam or something?
Yeah the price is steep as many people have said, but youre gonna get every last penny worth. You know all of the bolts are pretty much torqued to spec and you wont be wrenching on it finding other peoples fck ups and mickey mouse jobs. If I had $4900 I wouldnt think twice about buying that.
Did it come with all maintenance records and original stuff like manuals?
That car is epic. Please mod it tastefully!!! Im def saving these pics, they look like they were taken in 1999.

Triple post ftw
Why did the previous owner invest so much before the sale? I see new floor mats, new shift ****, and a complete detail job. Ive never seen someone do that to a Civic before they sold it.
