Right so the guy before me decided to put these awful rims on the Del Sol. I think he was planning on turning it into a Monster Truck, but I can't be certain.
Anyways got me a nice set of Ksports and have to say the 16s don't look too bad. Regardless though, they MUST go. Problem is, I cannot decide which type of rim to get. I'd like to go Honda and get either Si's or Blades, but I honestly like the look of the 16's now that the car is in the weeds.

And so the question:

What is the general consensus believe to be the better cosmetic choice? 15'' or 16''?

I would go 15"

 

personally i like 15's on low pro tires and sittin on the car on a nice set of adjustable coilovers....which seems like that should be your next step if your planning on building up looks first...low cars on 15in. rotas are the sh*t with a 2-2 1/2in. drop on em mayb even lower but i never really liked the look of a car being completely slammed...jus my.02

 

15's and i'd say about 50 series tires. 45 makes for crap ride quality, more expensive tires, and just looks sketch to me. Clean sol though, good luck.

yes go 15's i have oem 99-00 si wheels with a 205/50/15 tire and they look perfect and gorgeous on there love that set up

I prefer 15 because there are a good selection of sticky tires, its a little more comfy, and a little cheaper than 16. plus usually lighter.

 

im personally not a fan of anything bigger than 15" on any 5th or 6th gen civic, but there are some 16s that look nice.

 

Yep. I've even seen some HX wheels look good on sols. 15" tires are usually alot cheaper because it isn't exactly an uncommon rim size. Almost all the econo cars have either 14 or 15 inch tires nowadays, getting a little bigger lately but I'd still say the majority is 14 and 15 inch, thus resulting in cheaper tires. Also there is usually alot more trading options down the road, say somebody has rims but no tires and wants to trade, you just slap your tires on and your good to go. If you get 16 trading options are limited. I know that may be a little far down the road to think about but I overanalyze all my purchases.
