91 DA Keeps Blowing Battery Fuses
Hey guys. Today when I was driving my car died on me. It died when I was doing some high RPM'S. When I turned the key ahead to try and restart it none of the dash lights even came on. So I checked fuses and the underhood battery fuse(70 amp) was blown. So I got it trailered home and figured I would just put in a new fuse. Well I put a new fuse in and the fuse blows. Put a second in and that one blows too. So I talk to my buddy and he said disconnect the big wire that attaches to the alternator and then put a new fuse in. Well I did that and it didn't blow when I reattached the battery cable. Then I reattach that big wire on the alternator and the fuse blows. According to my buddy it is a bad alternator. What do you guys think?
