93 Prelude VTEC mild sputtering after heavy rain
Last time it rained hard, it was worse, car would jerk, constant mis fire, fuel would feel like it cuts off and was undrivable from the constant engine braking. Last time we changed the IACV and the external coil, fuel pump and o2 sensor. IT turned out to be the o2 sensor. I guess its more improtant in our preludes since we only have one main o2 sensor. After installed o2 ran fine, no problems at all.
This time it rained for the past 2 days and last night and this morning, car would feel like it is sputtering or misfire around 2-3k rpm or so. It isn't too bad, but enough to feel the car slightly jerk. Its only been one night and this mornign driving to work that its been doing it, but it "seems" to go away after driving for a while. Im sure it has something to do with the rain and moisture getting somewhere. I have a water leak inside the car and my rear seats and carpet would be wet, and if it is extreme it will flood.
Any sugestions on what i should change? only thing i can think of right now is changing spark plug wires since they are probably the original factory ones and TPS.
1993 Prelude Vtec 140k miles
changed o2, iacv, external coil, fuel pump, spark plugs

If you are getting water in the car, check around the ecu. I have had wierd issues when water managed to work its way into my spark plug holes, it would cause misfires. Try pulling your plug wires and seeing if the ends are damp, or there is any indication of rust on them.
A worn distributor cap and rotor can cause misfires and hard starting in damp conditions due to condensation and moisturedeveloping on the contact points. Check your cap and rotor.
Are you getting any oil leaks or condensation in the spark plug wells?

wait are you talking about the spark plug wires right?
you got me confused about the ecu somehow leading all the way to the spark plug wires o.O
im prob chagne spark plugs they like 140k miles old.
whats a spark plug well?
use regular plugs not platinums if you have high miles, change your cap rotor, and plugs problem solved 99 percent guaranteed
