Default went to tune. car wont start

Today i went to get my car dyno tuned at xXx in P-cola. Drove it the whole way there with no CEL. Blake pulled it into his bay and hooked everything up to get ready to tune. He uses NepTune for the software. he has a p06 mapped for vtec and i guess neptune uses a p72 type mapping or something like that.

My car will not start with his ECU inplace of mine. soon as we plug mine in, it starts right up. We checked spark/fuel. no spark and fuel injectors are not firing with his ecu. he says he is not even getting a RPM read out. when we swapped my ecu back in place and started it, it threw a Code 8 (CKP). took off the negative terminal and let it sit. put it back on, fired the car up and nothing.

I have had this problem before (about 2 months ago when i went from obd0 to obd1) which it ended up being i had my TDC and CKP wire backwards on the dizzy plug AND i had a bad obd1 dizzy. I have shot voltage at the ECU and everything checks fine. shot continuity from the dizzy plug to the OEM ecu harness then shot continuity threw the obd0-obd1 harness and everything checked fine and the wiring was in the right place.

Tomorrow (saturday) i will, again, be shooting continuity from the dizzy plugs to the ECU.

Just looking to see is anyone else has had this problem before and to see if someone can point me in a direction.

Car is a 91 hatch, lsvtec, obd1 conversion, obd0 injectors w/ box, my ecu is a obd1 pr3 with p30 mapping.

I'm the guy he called and I'll tell you what I told him... I've seen this a few times... They fix the wiring or replace the dizzy and it solves the problem.

i wouldnt be surprised if it is my dizzy honestly. im on my 3rd one bcause the first reman'd one i got didnt work at all, 2nd one didnt have any ignition output, so this 3rd one (td-81u) works with my set-up. like i said, tomorrow im going to shoot the continuity through the wiring from dizzy to ecu side then with the car running im going to figure out if im getting good signal through the CKP and TDC. just have to find out what the correct signals are :p

That's good news for you, since wiring is a pain.

Haha very. Only thing I can't find is what type of signal to look for at CKP t make sure my dizzy is sending the correct signal.
