I got a 97 civic sedan.
So i know the trunk lights dont fit on the 96 from the 99 but do the outers?
Im thinking about getting the 99 sedan trunk lid anyways.

So again my question is if the outer 99-00 sedan tailights fit on the 96-98?

The outers are a different design and will look stupid with a 96-98 trunk lid, but will fit! You could switch out your trunk lid for a 99-00 style, as the shape of the inner lights are different and will match the newer style outer

I just swapped both my tails and trunk lid from that of a Canadian Acura EL, looks way better

 

^^^Ya. I figured they would fit. And like i said i would be getting the trunk lid as well.
And i wouldnt wanna do the el tail end if i didnt have the front end.

 

^^ Why??? The EL rear end looks great, the front end looks terrible in my opinion
