do you need scattershield with billet case?
yes you technically do since the billet case is not sfi spec...although most our scatter shields are not as well. but it all depends on the track i think. we never ran one and they never said anything to us at three local tracks here.
i dont think the scatter sheilds have to meet an sfi spec, like the bell housings. they give a location, fastener, and metal thickness guidelines in the rule book iirc.
deist is the only sfi scatter shield available for the b-series/d-series. scatter shields and aftermarket bellhousings for rwd trans must be sfi spec...not that it matters to us.
i talked to craig at liberty about getting the bellhousing sfi approved and he said there isnt enough of a market to go through the whole process

we run our billet case with a scatter shield for our own safety & its a nice mounting bracket for our exhaust back pressure sensors.

IMO scattered are dumb. They "should" protect the driver and they dont. With our cars it would have to go threw the diff. area and of coarse they dont cover that area......
It doesn't fit over mine, I have it adjusted all the way forward for the most room. I am running an Earl's 10mm to -3an fitting in the slave cylinder. What are you using for hardware?
ill take a picture for you when i make it over to the shop. im using a 45 degree fitting (-3an) there is even a .250 spacer on the backside of the slave cyl cause it hits the billet case without it.
Oh okay, you guys are using the 1/8' NPT fittings over the 10mm. Unfortunately they don't make the 10mm in a 45, I wound up spending another $15 on a -3 to -3 swivel 90 to make this work.
