Default wagovan winter beater build

sup guys thought id show u all what ive been doin the past 2 months seems it wasnt done for winter i figured id go through everything with you guys!

enjoy!

story:

found this 90 wagon on craigslist listed as non running for parts...
go take a look at it kid doesnt even know what he has.
so things that catch my eye are mazda speed racing seats?
b18 swap not too pretty but old school hasport mounts yes!
everything else was a shitty nothing salvageable so i offer 200 bucks and he takes it! haha

so drag it home wagon had ebay springs not cool! every bump felt like i was ripping something off the car!

So i start tearing everything apart, head looks ok

Kid said it was turbo'd before him, well he was right

rod bolts stretched and one of them fell out

mulch

so i figured how much things would cost to get rid of **** i dont need and get this bad boy running
so i sell the seats for 250 (thats more like it) made 50 bucks off taking this car!

i have a clean ls block and crank! why not build that nd throw it in!
so since this is a budget ebay pistons will do the trick!

99-00 B16 pr3 .20 over pistons 100 bucks shipped

found a set of shot peen rods with arp rod bolts 190 shipped!

oil pump 60 shipped

Looks like a nice start, nothing better than a free car. Any plans for the rust?

Ok so im alot farther than these posts so if pics seem out of order thats why!

so started on the body
not too pretty but will work for winter beater!

so joking we decided why not have fun bomb it!

SKA-BOOM haha

Well you might laugh you might think im retarded but again its a pos budget! so please keep comments to yourself!
ive always wanted an a-team van so painted the wagon like that...

tinted the windows myself (not that hard)

cd player i had layin around

bought some stock seats for 40 bucks

so after i put the seats in next day i open the driver door wheeew wtf is that smell?
realized these seats were in a barn for 2 years, with cats running around= **** so febreeze!
faint smell still lingers so i decided seat covers
but custom!

camo

finished

so took a look at the suspension
ebay Drop zone on front
I HATE lowering cars still have my itr swapped em1 on stock springs! haha

well anyways rear springs were cut on the wagon
stupid! so i found a set of awd rear springs and stuffed em in there! now im thinkin i might make my own hitch cuz i love fishing get like a nice 14' john boat with like a 25 hp!!!

had some ef front springs layin around they were cut about an inch in drop... idk if i like it tippin in the front

but it does go with the a-team look

hum....

Sorry for saying this but I dislike how some people take DIY too far.
Just because it's DIY doesn't make it cool or functional or even cost effective.
It's civics that look like this which I hate seeing around town.. IMHO they are on the same par as ricer, but just more of a DIY home depo lip ricer vs. ebay ricer.

props on the motor though. Even though your car's exterior isn't going to turn heads it doesn't mean you should violate the hell out it just to draw attention and feel good. That ruins the import scene.

thats great you feel that way but idc its my choice and again its a pos wagon who the hell cares! my summer car is my pride and joy i could care less what you or anyone thinks id rather have people look at me cuz there disgusted or compelled to look than have a rotted out piece of poop with a decent engine build. and get laughed at. so cheers

I love it when a plan comes together...

I kept looking at the paint scheme and saying - I know that ... what is that...
For giggles you need a supra style wing on the roof to poke fun at the A-team's roof spoiler on the van.
