Default b16 vtec

i have a obd1 b16 in an ek with obd2 harness. the obd1 motors dont have a knock sensor and heard my motor wont pop vtec without it. but i am poping vtec without it on a stock obd2b ecu. it doesnt pop hard tho and cant really feel too much difference. when i ran it with open headers the vtec poped me back in my seat but not anymore. why?

There should be a threaded hole above the oil filter, over to the drivers side a little bit. Generally speaking I consider it a PITA to get at with the motor in the car (if you don't have a lift to make sticking your arm in there easily).

Honestly and truthfully, it's not that hard as people pertained it to be. For example, I just replaced my ks last week and it didn't take long. Probably took me 30 mins. to do the job. What I did was lift the front of the car up to your waistline so you won't have to bend down and lean over as much to get to the tight area. What you need is the proper tools and a lot of patience.
