Default b18a1 oil pressure gauge READING +100 PSI

im trying to install an auto meter oil pressure gauge. just want to be sure that i remove the correct sensor to thread in the new fitting to the block. it is the oil pressure switch/light that i can remove and use that existing thread? it is a 1/8"bspt fitting thread correct? anyone know where to find a good picture of the back of the block labeling the sensors?
EDIT READ BELOW GAUGE IS INSTALLED AND READING +100PSI

ive got one wire going to the sender, one to a ground(hooked up to cdplayer ground is this ok?), and the other to 12v switched source(cd player). the gauge comes on but reads +100 psi. its the pro-comp ultra-lite gauge. i mounted the sender on the firewall and ran a very small plastic tubing(found in sunpro oil pressure gauge kit) from the block fitting to the sender. i dont understand what i did wrong unless i cant use that tubing for the sender?any help?

you are correct in thread pitch. but aftermarket sending units are usually 1/8npt. its easy enough to see, its the only connector back there with a rubber cover.

which model autometer gauge are you using? its highly reccomended that you remote mount the aftermarket sensor. the weight and vibration can crack the block. autometer sells kits that use stainless line to mount the sensor on the firewall or similar.

can you get the exact model number of the gauge. or do you at least know if the gauge is short sweep or full sweep. you most likely have a wiring issue.

does it look like this?

try a new ground. find a bolt on the chassis somewhere rather than taping into other ground wires
