91 EF Suspension HELP!!!
wats up HT im looking 2 buy a new suspension on my 91 hatch im looking @ the (Buddy Club Racing Spec Coilovers) & the (Tein Flex Damper Coilovers) i know that they wont fit, so im going 2 buy theym from a EG then just change the two front forks... i need some ideas thanx
tien makes their SS coilovers for the ef civic/crx. Either that or you can go with the Skunk2 pro c/s coils. Before anyone else will comment on this I am sure people would also like to know what your future goals are with the car. Are you auto-crossing, tracking, dragging, or just daily driving?
the car will be used 4 track n very lil daily driving, but im looking 4 good quality & great company... right now the car has kyb struts, n skunk 2 springs n 3 of them r blown so the ride sux ***
lol.
what's your budget? there are better suspension companies out there then the two you named. and if you plan on tracking it, you gotta pay to play.
oh, and ib4koni/groundcontrol.

Every post in this thread just makes me ask WHY?
With how much is out there made for your car why would you get something that isn't? Seriously, I'd love to hear your reasoning.
What makes you think you should get 1 piece coil overs?
Do you really need to adjust on the fly? Do you know how to?
If you are seriously tracking do you know if your class allows that even?
As said by 90 EX, there are a lot better options and a budget would help.
As much as I hate people parroting things, koni/gc is darn near perfect for 95% of people who can afford it. Esp factoring in the abilty to rate things as you choose and if you get even greedier re rate the shocks.
Mace, don't be ****ing worthless. Post something of use.

KW is a german company that is correct.
Outside of a budget you have not replied to any of the questions I've asked, I would need that information to assist you.

well my buddy has buddy club N+ on his eg n i love the ride but i believe the N+ has the spring rate of 10 n i have a swap in my car so i want a better spring rate like12 n the racing spec has that, but as far as the class this is going 2 be my 1st time with this new set-up @ the track so... n also buddy club & tien are really good companys that people cant really talk shyt
for suspension that is cheap and great i have godspeed coilovers that i purchased from ebay for 499 shipped to my front door.... ive had many other types and i hate to say that these have worked very well... great ride and handling.. and they are a hell of a lot cheaper that buddy club n tein... and godspeeds are fully adjustable, from spring load, and height adjustment..... look in to them really good coilovers. i take my car to the track alot and these coilovers out handle my friends car who has the skunk2 coilovers.... he hates my setup cause i can adjust everything and it was a hell of a lot cheaper than what he spent...
i heard about that set-up but im more a fan of 1 pc coilover, but i will look into the KW suspension, n see if the guys @ the shop carry it, but if not who konws where i can get them 4 a good price + shipped
theres a few shops on here that hook it up pretty good... gc/koni on weaksauce will run you about a g depending on how you like it
my recommendation is the koni/gc... theres is a reason a ton of autoX/trackers swear by them

yea, it's called a really great customer service. had my koni's re-valved, and asked them to give my updates. they did. ether everyday, or every other day till it shipped out.
KW is good there engineered well. Better than the other Taiwanese competition. You really cant go wrong with koni/gc. The fact the aren't once piece is a plus. In case you need a shock rebuilt or decide to change the spring rate you can disassemble on the fly and keep driving the car if you have spares available. http://farnorthracing.com/autocross_secrets.html Has good info on shock quality and ability. Dont spend all your cash your going to need an alignment. Good luck
thanx guys i really appriciate it, i will look into those coilovers... when i buy them(sometime next week) i will post up some pics be4 & after i put them on my hatch
if you're trying to actually have some money left over, k sport's kontrol pro's are perfect for a track/daily setup, and if you do some shopping and dont settle for msrp, their gt pro set up is pretty ***** out.

Do you know why you'd want a spring rate like that? Or do you figure 10 is good so 12 has to be better?
I know why I swear by them
