Bolt size for F22A Trans?
I know that there is course thread and a fine thread pitch, I am putting the engine on an engine stand and I haven't a clue what the proper bolts are needed.
Thanks.
Thanks.
The trans bolts are metric thread pitch 12 x 1.25mm. Yes the stock trans bolts should be the proper size to bolt the engine onto most engine stands.
Well... If anybody has some that they want to sell me... Ive just got the engine sitting here with the stand. Thanks for the fast replies!
PS- Does anybody know where I can find some good info on how to choose the right cam based on what your goals are?
Thanks again.

Go to a junk yard and pull one or two bolts from a few F22/F23/H22/H23 series Honda's. They are all the same
What is your engine setup and goals? N/A - Turbo, 250whp - 300+whp, Straight line or street/circuit track?

425 whp turbod. Sub 11.50 1/4 mile DD. Stock bottom end. ARP headstuds. A lot of work and even more research going into this setup. I finally have enough cash to order retainers, springs and valve seals. Taking the head in next week to get it cleaned and then saving again till I know what cam I want to run. I have been doing a lot of research and I am afraid to just send off my cam to just anybody after reading this thread. https://honda-tech.com/forums/showth...cting+camshaft
My main goal is good power delivery and so Im looking into whatever I can find to increase VE without breaking the bank. Next up - H23 IM and TB.

Pushing 400+ Whp on a stock F22 bottom end might be a stretching it a bit much. Might want to look into some rods and pistons depending on your target RPM. As for asking about cam designs, If you are unsure Bisimoto kind of has the corner on the F22 market. Giving your cam to him wouldn't be like passing it to someone who has no F22 engine building experience.
When you say your having the head cleaned. Are you having any port work done? If you are you should have it bench tested so that you can see the characteristics before getting a cam. Again someone like Bisi would be able to help you with that.

Im not really that worried about the bottom end giving up. I don't plan on revving past 7k unless the engine decides to make power that high and then I'll go from there.
Having it bench tested to see how much it flows before and after the cam is a REALLY good idea...
As for bisimoto... I called there twice and got a hold of somebody who didn't know what he was talking about and I kept asking him questions about the F/D kit and didn't really get any answers. He was honest with me and at least told me he didn't know. I have emailed multiple reps for bismoto on here with no response. Perhaps I need to make my email's a bit more direct? Im not sure. After dealing with no response a few times from them via email and calling twice and not getting a hold of anybody who knew what was really going on or could provide answers to my questions... I am hoping the 3rd time I call in will be a charm?
I want to port the head, but then again $... I know it would really help the characteristics of the cam shine but then again if the engine goes I lose that $ in the headwork if it gets damaged. Grabbing another block for $150 from the local bone yard and swapping it in isn't too big of a deal... Well talks easy plays hard I suppose.

Bob and John in at Race Engineering helped me out with my parts selection. If you can't get anyone at Bismoto you could give them a try. Never had any issues and my parts were delivered promptly.
