as subject says...

i cleaned entire engine area and pan with degreaser on sunday, today i got back under there and oil is coming from 2 locations, theres a leak at oil pan gasket right at where half moon meets at crank pulley...

then on other side a much worse leak where tranny hooks up to engine at half moon point once again...

is this where oil pan gaskets leak first or could it be something else?

and from in front of tranny engine... um i noticed this bolt wrapped in electrical tape about an inch out???? any ideas lol

 

Any visible leaks higher up on the engine (VTEC solenoid, distributor, valve cover gasket)? If not and you are lucky, replacing the oil pan gasket will fix the leak. If you are unlucky, the front and rear main seals and/or cam seal are leaking.

 

nope nothin up top wish i had vtec haha...

can i pull up the car on ramps to remove oil pan?

is there enough room to get get exhaust manifold out of the way on top of them?

 

Oh wow, I have the same problem in my car. im about to go take it to my friends shop. Ill let you know what he says. my leak is identical.

 

yes you can pull it on ramps, unless you have an aftermarket one piece header just unbolt the down pipe from your manifold and from your cat, then drain the oil from ur engine (important to avoid a biiig mess) then drop the pan.

 

Oil pan gasket, rear main seal, distributor O-ring, camshaft seal are the first 4 things that come to my mind.
