What does detonation sound like? I have heard many different "opinoins" on it, from a similar "click" of like a bad CV, to a loud hum. When in first/second, I am getting this weird noise and I'm not sure if it's detonation or not. When I start boosting, it makes a sound like it would if you have a slipping clutch (The car revving up, but going nowhere), but the RPM's stay on a steady climb. I'm only runnin 6psi right now, and when it happens I don't notice any difference in power or anything. I'm currently running -2degrees timing, stock injectors, FMU (12:1). When it happens the A/F guage is still on rich and doesn't lean out at all until I have been holding 6psi for like 5 secs in 3rd/4th. Is this detonation, or what am I hearing?

get a pepsi cacan and put a pellet in it,then shake it! now your detonating

do a top end in 3rd and 4th gears and ear what happen

 

cant allways hear it. but yeah marbles in a coffee can sounds about right.
