i just did a b18a1 swap into my crx and the gears are short on it.the tranny label says a1-xxxxxxx i saw that in 5th gear at 2k rpm im doing 35mph does that sound right? i thought my speedometer was off but i checked with my gps and its right on.

 

might be a b16 trans.

a1 is a ls transmission. Same as the one in my car. Comes out of a 90 da integra.

 

what's your rpm on the highway at, let's say, 75mph

ya idk im going to take it on the highway today and see 75 and see what rpms im at

 

My Y1 B16 trans I’m around 4600rpm @ 75. My Y1 LS trans I’m around 3500rpm @ 75

 

ok so i took it on the highway got it up to 75mph and was at 3900rpm in 5th gear.

 

Then its a ls trans. Mine is at like 4k at 80.

My old trans in 5th gear at 60 would run 4k. Now that I think about it I'm not sure what my new one runs at, but it's certainly not 4k. My new one supposedly came off of a B16. Is your transmission a cable or hydro?
