I'm sure there are pros and cons to keeping or removing, depending on where you live and how you drive. For you being in LB, ABS probably doesn't do much for you, as opposed to someone who lives where it's icy 6 months a year. I'm sure removing it would be similar to adding it, minus the wiring headache.
Disregard, I don't want to go through the hassle of swapping out all hardlines, ABS fuse box w/wiring, ABS modulator, ABS sensors, etc.

If you want to do it right you'll be swapping all the hardlines (major pain in the *** and requires dropping the front subframe), master cylinder, booster and prop valve.
ABS will save you from yourself on the street, you can't predict what other drivers are going to do. It's a great thing to have for daily driving, and if you think only people with "no skillz" have ABS, then I hate to break it to you but going to the 7-11 down the street isn't a race on a racetrack. Take advantage of ABS on the street and if you really are serious about racing at the track then simply pull the fuse when you get there and disable it.

Newer Ford and even some of the older (97-up) Chryslers have excellent factory anti-lock. Just a comment.

If your ABS lamp is on you will need to trouble shoot the ABS system. The system will not operate at all until the detected malfunction is corrected. Are you familiar with jumping the Service Check Connector for engine codes? If not, go here:

Instead of the engine lamp, look at the ABS lamp. ABS codes are read the same as engine codes, a 1 second blink equals ten, and a short blink (less than a quarter second) is a one. Add them together and place a dash between the numbers. For example:
4 long blinks of 1 second plus 1 short blink equals 41, place a dash between them to get code 4-1, which is for the RF wheel speed sensor.
