Default Jdm B18C vs K20/24

So guys I have a full 98 Spec Type R swap from Hmo in my 97 Ls. its somewhat my daily. what do you guys think about swapping a full k24 swap? keep in mind its my daily. i just want a beast street car. wouldnt mind drag racing sometimes but i definitely want to do road racing. is the k20/k24 build worth it for that money? can anybody give me pros and cons of it. let me know

you already have the motor, keep the B swap...if you are more into road racing you are better off the the B series because you already have LSD..a k-series LSD from either the civic si (z3) or itr(a) will be hard to find//$$

also, im not sure the exact weight but i'd be willing to bet the K24 weights more..and if you're into road racing a heavier K would throw off your handling and weight balance..keep what cha got! bolt-ons, tune and you'll be set

Going K is a lot of work. If you're asking if it's worth it then I don't think you are inclined enough to do all the needed work.

Hands down K series make MORE power! But not worth all the work IMO.

Keep the B18C man, being you live in Cali, the laws on swaps are strict as hell. You can't just drop the K in and call it a day,you need to swap out everything down to the fuel tank and wires just so its legal. But if you're just doing it and not tripping on the smog laws, then go for it.

K>B, it is pricey but if you have the funds and want to do it then go for it, you won't be disappointed. Both are great either way goodluck with your decision.

if you want to stay cali legal you could always add the edelbrock turbo kit and a large radiator. it will rocket your whp levels up, be easy and stay legal.....is costly though
