Default Fitting oem replica sideskirts

I just got my 98 integra re painted milano red and I have the replica oem optional sideskirts. They fit up fine and sit pretty flush against the body so I'm happy with that. But where the top part of the skirt slips over the stock sideskirt next to the door sill, when I shut the door it rubs against that top part of the side skirt. Being that I just got the whole car and all the lips and side skirts painted, I want to avoid scratching them as much as possible.

Has anyone else had this issue when using the oem replica side skirts, and if so how did you go about fixing it.
If anyone has ideas on the easiest/best to fix the door from rubbing against the sideskirt, please chime in.

Any help will be greatly appreciated

Sand down the bottom of the door and/or sideskirt.

Had the exact same issue and that is the only solution me and the body shop could come up with.

Unfortunently, I had to remount my sideskirt and mounted it wrong, now there is some scratches in one particular spot.

I was thinking I could sand down the underside of the sideskirt and hopefully that would give me enough clearance. There's not much that's rubing and its only in like 2 spots.
I just don't want to sand the bottom of the door because everythings already painted.

The OEM Optional side skirts replace the original side skirts completely. Do the replicas not fit the same way?

I dont beleive so, You have to leave the stock sideskirt in place. I wish the replicas has the mounting tabs on the underside of it so it mounted just like the stock sides do.
