My wipers clang when going back and forth. I was just wondering if you can adjust the amount of space they cover?

 

not so much adjust as replace the worn linkages which are the likely culprit.

you can "clock" the wiper arms on the studs that they bolt to. just unbolt, lift and bolt down at a different angle. this will adjust the total sweep either left or right. new linkages will cure sloppy, lose wipers.

 

There is a plastic "bushing" that is in the wiper arm components, these get worn out over time and cause unnecessary play in the arms which causes them to hit each other or go past the windshield.

I'll try to find a diagram of the part.

 

I've never seen the bushings themselves sold separately. you can get them from honda as part of a new linkage "rod" set.

So if I bought a new wiper arm than that would fix the issue with the blade knocking on on each side, when they go back and forth?

 

No, buying the arm wouldn't work, I double checked as well, you will need to buy 11 and 12 in the above diagram.
