when i first start up my car it squeels a bit and then when i put it into gear it starts to squeel more, but if i put the clutch in and rev it the squeel goes away. also when i downshift it squeels and when im idling at lights. i just changed the alternator belt to see if that helped and it went away for a week and now its back. got any ideas whats wrong?

 

your alternator itself might be going out and/or seizing

since its most likely a belt related sound
take the belt off the power steering and AC if you have em, and try it with just the alternator
